Supporting Asylum Seekers
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me .... “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ (Matthew 25:35, 36a & 40)
This passage of Scripture makes it clear to believers in Christ that God wants our lives to overflow with mercy, love and compassion – the marks of His Kingdom.
We take this call seriously at Westhill Community Church and as such, we wish to respond to the greatest needs of our day with love and hope. To this end we are joining with Skene Parish Church and some other local bodies to help provide for the basic needs of the male Asylum Seekers coming to our Community.
