Creche
Creche is held during Sunday Morning Services and is available for children aged 0 - preschool. Please feel free to register your child for creche at the registration desk when you arrive, and then bring them out to creche when the older children leave for their program (an announcement will be made during the service).
If you have come along to one of our family services (first Sunday of the month) you're welcome to keep your children in church with you, to participate in the family-friendly service, or bring them out to creche any time you like. There will be members of our creche team ready to look after your children while you enjoy the service. You can then pick them up straight after the service, or for communion time. If you could let one of the team know when you collect your child, that would be great- we like to make sure all our creche kids are safely picked up and back with their parents/carers when they leave creche. |
Our creche room is just passed the Green Pastures Cafe. During creche your children will be looked after by our friendly creche team. They will enjoy a variety of toys and activities, share a simple snack (usually a biscuit and water/juice), hear Bible stories and sing songs. If your child has any food allergies, is toilet training, or you have any other concerns or requirements, please speak to one of our team.
If you're visiting, please introduce yourself and your child to a team member, so that we can welcome you and also so we can come and find you should your child need you during the service. We look forward to seeing you and your little ones in creche soon! |
Mainly Music
Mainly Music is a fun music group for parents, carers or grandparents to enjoy together with their young child.
It encourages children to develop their gross and fine motor skills, language, imagination, mathematical and pre-reading skills as well as socialise with others. The interactive thirty minute music session is followed by an eat/play/chat time. It's ideally suited to children aged 1-4. |
Mainly Music is held at Westhill Community Church on
Friday mornings (during term time), from 9.30-11am. The cost is £2 per family, and morning tea will be provided. If you have any questions or would like to come along, please email: mainlymusic@westhillcommunitychurch.org |
ROAR!
Westhill Community Church places great importance on our children and believe them to be a vital part of our church and Roar is our Children’s ministry. We meet on a Sunday morning whilst the morning service is on. The children stay with their parents in church for the first part of the service and then are invited to follow the paw prints up to the Roar room and begin their time together.
The format is the same each week, with big group time - fun games and challenges, prayer and worship, followed by small group time - when the children are split into age groups and have some more in depth bible teaching. We use the Scripture Union material to plan our sessions. |
Roar members take part in the All Age Worship service on the first Sunday of every month and rejoin the congregation on the 3rd Sunday of the month for communion.
Our aim during the sessions is to foster a fun, happy and inclusive atmosphere, where the children feel cherished and confident. It is within this environment that they can learn about and encounter the love of Jesus. |
Holiday Bible Club
Holiday Bible Club (HBC) is an amazing week of fun and learning more about Jesus! Each year has a different theme and runs during the mornings for one week during the school summer holidays. It is open to children ranging from P1-S1 and is packed full of games, music, jokes and surprises! Children will be part of both an upfront all together time and separate smaller groups for each age bracket as they learn more about each day's message.
There is also a cafe for parents while HBC is running. HBC runs this year from Monday 10th August to Friday 14th August and starts at 10am and finishes at 12.15pm. If you'd like to register your child for the next Holiday Bible Club, please contact The Church Office on 01224 737380, or email: office@westhillcommunitychurch.org |
HBC is also a great blessing to those who are involved and there are variety of areas to serve, whether it's as a group leader, upfront in the drama, on the worship band, or helping in the cafe there are loads of opportunities. Each morning the whole team shares in a thought for the day, and by the end of the week many are often surprised at how God has spoken to them personally. If you'd like to be a part of this incredible week then talk to Clare Macmillan or contact The Church Office.
