Bereavement

We will all experience bereavement at some stage in our lives, whether it's the death of a parent, a loved one, a friend or child.  Often this means that our lives will never be the same again.  The feelings we have such as despair, loneliness or even guilt - may overwhelm us. In time, and with support, we can work through such feelings and learn to live with our loss.

Below you will find some information to help guide you through this difficult and sad time.  The websites listed can guide you through some of the practical aspects following the death of someone close as well as support as you grieve
.

Talking with others has been shown to be very helpful for bereaved people, and WCC runs a course called

The Bereavement Journey.

It runs over 7 weeks, to help people to understand
and begin to see a way forward in their grief.
